How quickly can I spin up a new server?

New hosting accounts are typically provisioned within minutes of order confirmation. All plans come pre-configured and ready to use.

Where is my data stored, and who has access?

Data is stored only in the region you select at deployment. We never move data between regions without your explicit instruction. Nexus staff cannot access your VM data. Our compliance documentation covers POPIA (South Africa), GDPR (EU), and HIPAA (US) in detail.

What does "managed" mean for managed servers?

Managed servers include: OS updates and security patching, 24/7 uptime monitoring with automated alerts, daily off-site backups, proactive DDoS mitigation, and access to our support team via ticket, chat, or phone. You still have full root/admin access — we just handle the operations layer.

Are there egress fees?

No egress fees on your first 1 TB/month per server. Beyond that, outbound bandwidth is billed at R0.18/GB — one of the lowest rates in the industry. Inbound bandwidth is always free. Traffic between Nexus services within the same region is also free.

Can I migrate from another provider?

Yes — our migration team will help you move from AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, or any other provider at no charge on Pro and Enterprise plans. We provide a migration checklist, assist with DNS cutover, and offer a parallel-run period so you can validate before decommissioning the old environment.

How do I manage my services and billing?

All services, invoices, support tickets, and account settings are managed through your client portal. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel services, download invoices, and open support requests — all from one place.
